1ST Prize Competition Winner
The goal of the competition was to develop two distinctive building structures, that would work as an entrance gate to the Nordwestbahnhof area, a huge urban development zone in Vienna. The new square around the two high risers form an entrance and central access point to the new urban quarter. QUERKRAFT architects succeeded with a strong ecological focus, a very cost-effective construction system and with an appealing and colourful appearance. All the flats share an outdoor loggia, with a façade in various vibrant colours, resulting in a lively and diverse façade.
